On Monday 15 June, we travelled to Lorca, specifically to the Poncemar Foundation’s premises on the Social and Health Sciences campus.
There, we met with the Foundation’s management and staff, who put us in touch with a group of 20 people, all aged over 65, who had been invited to take part in the CareMeatHome pilot scheme.
ComarcalTV came to cover the event and, over the course of a few hours, we explained the app, gave a demonstration of how to use it and answered some of the questions they asked us.
For the pilot, the app will be installed on their mobile phones and they will be provided with digital watches that will allow them to record their vital signs, which will then be transferred to the app.
Through this pilot, we hope to validate the benefits that CareMeatHome can bring to older people in terms of health empowerment through the use of non-invasive technology. We are very grateful to the people who have volunteered to take part and to the Foundation for supporting us with this initiative.
